Repowering of the Photovoltaic Plant: Work Begins at the MUVIQ Srl Facility

The dismantling work on the old 100 kW photovoltaic system, installed in 2011 on part of the industrial roof of the Ivrea plant, has officially begun. The facility is currently leased to our client, MUVIQ Srl, a key player in the automotive sector.

This intervention is part of a broader photovoltaic repowering project aimed at improving the plant’s energy efficiency and increasing its renewable energy production capacity.

Installation of Two New 100 kW Sections with Longi Solar Modules

The work plan includes the installation of two new photovoltaic sections, each with a capacity of 100 kW, using 615-Watt Longi Solar modules.

Thanks to this technological choice, the system will ensure optimal performance, significantly improving energy efficiency compared to the previous installation.

Connection to the Existing POD and Management with GSE

One of the two new sections will be connected to the existing POD (Point of Energy Withdrawal), which is currently operating under a GSE agreement within the framework of the 2011 Fourth Energy Account.

Our technical-administrative team is working to finalize the repowering process with GSE, a procedure that requires specific expertise to ensure compliance with current regulations and the optimization of incentives.

Expansion of the Existing 2021 Photovoltaic System

The second 100 kW section will be dedicated to expanding the photovoltaic system already built in 2021.

This system is managed by our client MUVIQ through an operational leasing solution, which offers a cost-effective approach to reducing the initial financial impact while maximizing energy benefits.

Energy Impact of the New System

With this new installation, MUVIQ Srl will have a total nominal photovoltaic capacity of 937 kW, expected to generate an estimated annual energy savings of 920,000 kWh on average.

This outcome will significantly contribute to optimizing operational costs and reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

Advanced Technology: HUAWEI Sun2000-100KTL Inverters

To ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of the new system, we will install HUAWEI Sun2000-100KTL inverters, complementing the existing ones.

These state-of-the-art devices enable intelligent monitoring of the generated energy and optimal management of the entire photovoltaic system’s performance.

A Project Aligned with Inveco’s ESG Roadmap

This initiative is part of the new investments by the Inveco Group, in line with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roadmap defined by our Sustainability Committee last autumn.

The goal is to continue developing sustainable and innovative solutions that can enhance companies’ energy efficiency and support the transition towards a low-carbon economy.

“Investing with a green perspective is a target we must keep working on. We have an ambitious three-year roadmap ahead of us, and we will strive to pursue it with method and professionalism.

At the same time, we aim to recover as much material as possible from our construction supply chain during installations, embracing a vision focused on recycling and reuse. For instance, wooden reels from electrical cables or pallets used to transport modules and inverters. These are all materials with a significant environmental impact if not properly recycled and repurposed. Our mission is also to safeguard the environment, not just focus on corporate profits.”

Dr. Filippo Barbetti
CEO of Inveco Group and ESG Chairman
