New project: charging hub and renewable energy

A new experience and a new era begins for the Inveco Group, which extends its vision as a general contractor to urban projects.

Urban Projects of small and medium size, to be carried out on strategic urban areas with a high density of traffic and roads.

The idea of carrying out a pilot project at its headquarters in Ponte San Giovanni, in Via Manzoni 82, was born from the intuition of the CEO Dr. Filippo Barbetti who has always imagined to broaden his business model by investing time and resources on e-mobility mixed with renewable sources.

The new project consists of building a 50 kWp photovoltaic system and four charging points (3 of 22 kW in AC alternating current and 1 of 50 kW in DC direct current) on the the Headquater of Inveco Holding SpA . All this within an urban context such as that of Ponte San Giovanni with a view to developing the charging service and e-mobility in the Municipality of Perugia.

In recent weeks we have published a very interesting in-depth analysis on electric mobility, giving medium – long term data and forecasts.

Speaking specifically of our project, the authorizations and compliance of the project itself are still being examined, but by thinking optimistically we are almost on the brink of arrival. According to general plans, the construction site could take shape already in the summer and be operational by next autumn.

We mention our project partners from equipment suppliers, to the charging service management provider up to the dealer who will test the entire system with their cars:

  • Jinko Solar for photovoltaic modules;
  • Huawei for integrated storage battery inverters;
  • ABB for electrical columns;
  • ZapGrid which is the management provider of the recharge service;
  • Romeoauto SpA which with its own electric cars will demonstrate how the service works.

Stay connected. We will update you during the next few weeks on the developments of this new project by the Inveco Group.

We hope that this pilot project is only the beginning of a series of business initiatives aimed at the strategic combination of renewable energy and e-mobility.
