Castello Italia Spa: photovoltaic project close to the start

Inveco Group and Castello Italia SpA have become energy partners. The project involves the partial refurbishment of the industrial roof and the installation of a 602 kWp photovoltaic system capable of generating over 650,000 kWh on average per year.

The project will be carried out in the province of Cremona in Casalmorano. The plant produces extruded plastic pipes for the automotive sector and other industrial sectors.

Castello Italia SpA is an Italian company recently acquired by the French multinational ARaymond.

In the summer months, the French company scrupulously analyzed our project at a technical level, entrusting this task to the advisor FM Global.

In addition to making a careful assessment of the plant’s risks against fires, additional roof loads and wind thrusts, we suggested to our customer to install the Tigo TS4 BOM optimizers.

These devices, installed directly on the photovoltaic modules, have a double technical peculiarity:

– they optimize the entire system by isolating every single module in case of failures. All this allows the individual strings to operate at maximum efficiency without any interruption in productivity;
– they isolate the direct current on the single modules and on the single strings on command. In the event of a fire, for example, the system voltage can be isolated completely or by departments.

At the end of August, the FM Global control audit closed positively giving us the green light to install the system.

According to the plans established with the customer, the partial refurbishment of the roof will begin on 10 October and the installation of the system three weeks later, with the ambitious goal of starting operation by 20 December of the current year.

On this project we will install 1,114 540 watt Jinko Solar modules and HUAWEI inverters.
