Gherardi S.r.l .: 394 Jinko Solar modules installed

The construction site in Pieve Santo Stefano (AR) of our customer Alessandro Gherardi Srl, Italian leader in the production of men’s / women’s shirts, has now come to an end.

In the overall 25 working days, 394 540 watt Jinko Solar modules, supported by Viessmann profiles, two Huawei sun2000-100 TLK inverters were installed. On this site we have also created the new safety system for roofs with Whurt lifelines.

The video from our drone shows the system from above on the different types of roof. We await in July only the e-distribution connection that will allow the plant to come into operation.

According to the forecast data, once the plant enters operation it will produce approximately 265,000 kWh annually, of which 90% will be self-consumed by the plant. The remaining energy fed into the grid. According to historical data of average annual consumption, the Pieve Santo Stefano plant will be 45% autonomous. A good result if you consider the investment and the lead time. Based on the current cost of electricity, the expected average annual economic saving will be around € 55,000.

1 kWh of electricity self-generated by photovoltaics avoids the dispersion of 0.355 kg of Co2 into the environment.

Therefore, according to the expected production of 265,000 kWh (annual average), the kg of CO2 avoided will be approximately 94,075 equivalent to 94 TON.

The United Nations Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC establishes that a tree can absorb on average about 10 kg of Co2, the construction of this plant will contribute to the environment in an efficient way, planting 9,407 trees.

Finally, Alessandro Gherardi Srl, sensitive to environmental sustainability, once the plant enters into operation will adhere to the program of the Certified Guarantee of Origin of energy produced from renewable sources and not from fossil sources.

The Guarantee of Origin (GO) is an electronic certification that certifies the renewable origin of the sources used by qualified IGO plants.

For each MWh of renewable electricity injected into the grid by IGO qualified plants, the GSE issues a GO title, in compliance with Directive 2009/28 / EC.

All GO titles are released, transferred and canceled electronically through the appropriate web portal.

Keep following us in the coming weeks, we will give you other updates of our new construction sites.
